IMP ordnar med jämna mellanrum improvisationskvällar som är öppna för alla intresserade - både att uppträda och att komma som publik. Vi tar jättegärna emot anmälningar till uppträdanden även på svenska - kontakta oss för mer information: imp.studentteatern@gmail.com!

Improvisaatioryhmä IMP järjestää säännöllisen epäsäännöllisesti yhteisöllisiä improvisaatioiltoja, joihin on avoin haku - eli haemme erilaisia improvisoivia ryhmiä (teatteri-, musa-, tanssi-, naamio- tai joku muu impron muoto) mukaan esiintymään!
Esitysten jälkeen lava avataan kaikille kiinnostuneille improjamien muodossa!

Improiltojen tavoitteena on lisätä yhteistyötä pk-seudun improryhmien ja -tyyppien välillä, sekä laajentaa omia sekä yleisön käsityksiä siitä, mitä kaikkea improvisaatio voi olla. Evenings of improvisation - Bring Your Own Team
IMP regularly organises evenings celebrating improvisation, gathering improvisers and improv-enthusiasts from all arts: theatre, music, dance, masque, clowning, playback theatre - or whatever you can think of. Is your act improvised? Welcome!

Depending on the acts that sign up, the language will be in Finnish, Swedish, and/or English. If you want to be on stage, contact IMP at imp.studentteatern@gmail.com!

The amazing teacher and improviser Becky Johnson from Toronto, Canada will be visiting Helsinki at the end of January! She'll be teaching a very interesting improvisation workshop while she is here - so don't miss it!

The Listening & Awareness (and more!) Improv Workshop
Sunday 29th January 2017, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
Location: Verandan @ Luckan, Simonkatu 8 (NB! Entrance from Yrjönkatu), Helsinki

The workshop includes a focus on listening and awareness, but contains much more! It begins with a stripped down idea of being together in the room on stage and from there tackles the utter simplicity of scene/comedic/dramatic instigations. The workshop is especially good for improvisers who have been exposed to structural ideas (formats) but need ways to fill them out with authenticity and/or keep the improv simple while still performing a fullness of situation and character. This workshop suits all levels of skill, as it adapts to the group attending, and Becky is happy to focus on feedback during the session.

Workshop fee: 30 e 
OR if you bring a friend, you get a 5 euro discount: 25 e each for two or more participants signing up at the same time.
The fee can be paid in cash at the workshop, or (preferably) directly to IMP's bank account. After you've signed up, we will e-mail you more detailed instructions about the payment etc.

(NOTE: if you are a member of Studenternas teaterförening rf and have paid the 2016-2017 membership fee you get a 50% discount on the workshop price)

About Becky:

Becky has over twenty years of experience performing and teaching improv. She has worked as a performer at Second City in Toronto and won some Canadian Comedy Awards for improvisation. Becky usually specializes in teaching skills like listening, simplicity and physical theatre techniques. She mainly performs in the duo The Sufferettes: http://www.thesufferettes.com/
